In response to Master Hsing Yun’s concept of “environmental protection and heart protection” and the environmental protection action of the United Nations World Environment Day on June 5, the VEGRUN event is specially organized to invite people who love sports through the “You run, I donate food” charity project Friends, use the power of the masses to pay attention to climate change and environmental protection issues. In addition to sports and entertainment, we can also “vegetate out love, let love flow” together, and continue to support each other uninterrupted!

About 1,600 people from Fo Guang and relatives and friends from the North District Association moved to Keelung Chaojing Park one after another to participate in the “Vegrun~Walk for Happiness” event organized by the North District Association. They passed Pinglang Bridge to Chaojing Park and were close to the green mountains and blue sea. On the grassland, we flexed our muscles and sang along with the youth group. Everyone was full of excitement and joy. Some Foguang people cleaned the beach for charity. Foguang people walked along the original path to the Marine Science Museum. At 9:00, they completed the “Vegrun~For Happiness” and walk” activity.

The International Buddha’s Light Association of Malaysia (Southern Malaysia) will hold the VEGRUN Global Vegetarian Charity Run on June 2, 2024. The events include leisure group (4km), active group (6km) and challenge group (11km). On the day of the event, there will also be an all-you-can-eat vegetarian deeds, where you can taste a variety of different vegetarian delicacies.

The “Vegrun ~ Running for Happiness” event will take place on July 14, 2024, at 7:30 AM in Nangang Park.
Nangang Park offers a wide view and is the largest scenic park in the Nangang District with a natural pond. It features a variety of plants and an impressive traditional Chinese archway at the entrance that is quite eye-catching.
Fo Guang Shan members and their friends and family from the Taipei North District 1 Supervisory Committee and various branches will gather on the green grounds of Nangang Park. Everyone will exercise together, running for happiness and health, while also fostering the health and unity of Fo Guang Shan members in the North District 1.
